The GOR12 presentations and posters are now available for download on this website.

In order to download them please access the GOR12-conference program and choose the session you are interested in. Then click the button “Show Downloads” in order to see all the presentations and posters which you can then download. Please note that there are no downloads available for the Short Courses, which took place on Monday, 5 March 2012.

Poster and Thesis Award Ceremony

This year’s Poster competition has resulted in two winners:

1. “From first impression to recommendation – users’ view on websites” by Meinald Thielsch and Rafael Jaron

2. “Politician’s Publishing Behavior” by Markus Baumann, Matthias Haber and Christian H. Wältermann

The Poster Award is sponsored by YouGov Germany.

The Thesis Award was also awarded to two young researchers:

The award for best master thesis was awarded to

Jessica Sabrina Kunert for her study “Building a digital electoral connection: MEP’s websites and Facebook profiles. How do MEPs present themselves online?

The award for best PhD thesis was awarded to

Umar Ruhi for his work on “Social-Technical Determinants of Member Participation in Virtual Communities: An Exploratory Mixed Methods Investigation“.

The Thesis Award competition is sponsored by TNS Infratest.

Best Practice Award

The winners of this years’ Best Practice Award  are:

Mitja Wogatzky, Julia Sauermann, Henning Breuer and Fee Steinhoff from FactWorks GmbH and Telekom Innovation Laboratories for their presentation “Turning fiction into the road ahead – the Local Innovation Panel of Deutsche Telekom”.

The award was presented to the winners at last nights GOR-Party by jury chair Herbert Höckel, managing director of mo’web research, the sponsor of the GOR12-Best Practice Award and jury members Frank Heublein and Prof. Horst Müller-Peters.

Location DGOF-Short Courses

All the DGOF-Short Courses on Monday 5 March 2012 will take place at the DHBW in building D.

Make sure to come to the GOR12-Check-In desk located in the main entrance area of building D first. You will receive the detailed directions to your short course room from the Check-In-staff there.

GOR12 Get-together for all conference participants takes place in the DGOF-Lounge

Time: Monday, 05/March/2012: from 7 pm

The get-together for all conference participants on monday will take place in the DGOF-Lounge at the DHBW. The DGOF-Lounge is located in building E on the first floor.

Line up complete for panel discussion “Online Research is dead – long live Digital Research”

Time: Wednesday, 07/Mar/2012: 2:30pm – 3:30pm

This panel will review the recent history of research, including latest developments and trends (covering data collection, devices, media, channels and delivery, e.g. Social Media, Mobile, Tablets, Connected TV, Animation, Video, etc.); whilst ultimately providing a clear look into the crystal ball foretelling the Future of (Digital) Market Research.

Remember to bring your party ticket to the KOI Club, you need it in order to be allowed to enter the club.
